Samba Implementation Brought to Android

Samba is the networking protocol SMB/CIFS’ open-source implementation. It helps bridge several Unix-dependent operating systems to Windows files. The Android client for Samba is fairly basic but does its job. Simply type in the file share to connect to, and also login credentials if needed. Upon tapping Mount, the file share would instantly show up in the Files app. Due to the app’s open-source nature, you can play with the code and make it dance to your tunes. And since the app is a direct Samba client port, it offers all the features provided by the Android Samba client.
